Aloha // Hawaii adventures with Tieks on my feet

I am so incredibly thrilled to be able to share my fashion [+ somedays lack of] with you! It honestly could not of been done without the help of my incredible friend/sister in law Amanda who has taught me everything she knows about blogging and has answered countless 3 am texts and listened through my wine sodden sob fests.
Check out her blog for some great parenting advice and some laughs.
so just a little background, Mr. Pepper is finishing up his submarine duty and we are stationed on Oahu, HI. It was rough going there for a little bit but I’ve finally found my groove, work at an awesome trauma center and am venturing out into Hawaii and trying to soak up as much of this paradise as I can.
so yesterday my friend Lori + I decided to have ourselves a little adventure! We started by hitting Ala Moana mall and visited Shirokiya, which is a little Japanese food court and beer bar.
We decided to try out one of their Ramen restaurants and it was pretty good, but I’ll be honest….I think I prefer my Ramen packets a little bit more-especially the kim chee flavored one.

After the mall we went for a little drive to the top of this mountain called Tantalus which offered an amazing view of Diamond Head, Waikiki, the airport. Pretty much all of southern Oahu could be seen.

If you ever get to visit Oahu it is definitely worth a drive up there. The drive up was a little scary, tiny 2 lane road that is very windy but it is so worth it!
The pictures are a little blurry, I stupidly forgot my camera so had to take all my blog photos with my iPhone, which has seen better days.I decided to go pretty casual today with this adorable striped crop top and some distressed boyfriend jeans. I ditched the flip flops for some leather ballet flats to dress it up and add a pop of color.
It was a little out of my comfort zone but sometimes its good to try a new style!

I’ve linked some similar flats that are a little more budget friendly but highly recommend Tieks, they are the most comfortable flats! You are not just paying for the brand but for comfort and quality. Their customer service is superb as well- free shipping & free returns. I ordered a 6 the first time and they were a tad too snug so they sent me a bigger size free of charge & gave me 2 weeks to return the first pair! I was extremely amazed at their attention to providing great customer service- very rare thing now a days.

Promise I won’t forget my camera next time + the photos will be of better quality!

till next time Pepperettes!
